Why can't ChatGPT analyze my Reddit thread?

How do I use the extension?
Navigate to any Reddit thread, subreddit, or search results page. Click the Analyze button in the toolbar that appears below the post title. Your summary will stream in real-time.
Which AI models are available?
Free users can use Grok 4.1 Fast, Gemini 3 Flash, and Kimi K2 Thinking. Pro and Max subscribers also unlock Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5.1, and Claude Opus 4.5. All cloud models are accessed through our secure backend via OpenRouter.
Where is my data stored?
Your analysis history and chat conversations are stored locally in your browser using
localStorage. We don't collect or store your Reddit browsing history on our
servers.
Why isn't the toolbar appearing?
The extension only works on supported pages: threads, subreddits, and search results on reddit.com. You can check if a page is supported by looking at the extension icon—it's colored on supported pages and grayed out on unsupported ones. Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, disable and re-enable the extension, or reinstall it. Note: reinstalling will delete all local data (history, saved results, custom modes).
Why don't I see my custom modes?
Custom modes are tied to specific page types. A mode created for threads won't appear on subreddits or search pages, and vice versa. Make sure you're on the same type of page where you originally created the mode.
Where can I find my analysis history?
Open the extension popup by clicking the extension icon. Your history is organized by the page that was analyzed—each thread, subreddit, or search has its own history entry. If you want to keep a result permanently, use the Save button to bookmark it.
Will my data be preserved if I uninstall?
No. For security reasons, all data (history, saved results, custom modes) is stored locally in your browser and will be deleted when you uninstall the extension. This is by design to protect your privacy—nothing is stored on our servers.
How do I upgrade to Pro or Max?
Click the extension icon to open the popup, then click Sign In. Once signed in, visit the Pricing page to choose a plan.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes! Go to Manage Account, sign in, and you can update or cancel your subscription anytime. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
The extension says "Extension context invalidated"
This happens when the extension updates while you have Reddit open. Simply refresh the page and it will work again.
