Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Philosophy

We believe your data is your own. Reddit Summarizer is designed to be as "stateless" as possible. We don't want your data, we don't sell your data, and we don't track your browsing history.

1. Data Collection

Local Data: All your analysis history, saved results, and custom modes are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never touches our servers.

Process Data: When you analyze a thread, the extension extracts the text and sends it to our secure backend to be processed by AI. This text is not stored on our servers after the analysis is complete.

2. AI Processing

We use OpenRouter and Google Gemini to process your requests. These providers have their own privacy policies. We only send the minimum context necessary to generate your summary.

3. Privacy-Safe Product Measurement

When enabled, we count a fixed set of successful analysis and authenticated pricing, billing, and paid-activation milestones. Raw records contain server-derived opaque keys, event names, fixed pricing-rollout labels, Pro or Max plan choice where applicable, timestamps, and keyed one-way account and provider-resource digests. Account journey keys rotate in fixed 29-day windows, and signed billing outcomes use the provider occurrence/update time. They never contain Reddit content, prompts, results, browsing URLs, email, names, raw Clerk IDs, payment details, IP-derived values, user agents, or open-ended metadata. Raw rows are deleted daily once older than 29 days, keeping raw retention within 30 days. Identifier-free daily aggregate counts may be retained longer. Durable replay prevention retains only a keyed provider-event digest, fixed billing event type, and claim timestamp for the lifetime of that HMAC namespace—never an account digest, raw provider or Clerk ID, billing details, or PII.

4. Your Rights

Since we don't store your history, you are in full control. If you want to delete your data, simply clear your browser's cache or uninstall the extension.
